So here’s my story.
In 2010, my husband and I quit our jobs, rented out our apartment, packed our backpacks with three outfits apiece, bought a DSLR camera and took off to travel the world.
Until then, I had been a corporate lawyer at a law firm in New York City. I worked with brilliant people and did exciting deals. But after a few years on Wall Street, I felt a pull from the unknown, or perhaps just the desire to start crossing things off my to-do-before-I-die list before I’m too old to do them.
So I delivered my two weeks notice. As we visited far off places and I marveled at the amazing world we live in, I couldn’t stop clicking my camera shutter. I loved capturing the expressions on people’s faces, the way they lived their lives, the places that surrounded us. Since I didn’t have any room for souvenirs in my backpack, my photos were my keepsakes, my way to hold on to the stories of these places and people.
And somewhere along the way, I fell in love with photography.
I love taking beautiful photos that tell the stories around me in an artistic and creative way. Whether I’m documenting the day that two people who love each other commit to spend their lives together, or taking portraits of a new addition to a growing family, I am passionate about the art of storytelling through my lens.
So that’s my story. I’d love to help tell yours.
