A huge thanks to the talented Kirra Cheers for inviting me along to photograph Alex & Justin’s fabulous backyard wedding in the Hamptons. It was a such a beautiful day in every way.
I’ve recently been doing some shoots for an amazing floral and event designer – Yena Jung of By Yena Designs. Not only is her work beautiful but it’s incredibly versatile – whether she’s designing an elegant outdoor wedding at the Foundry, a swanky affair at Capitale or a hip party at Tribeca 360, Yena is able to conjure up the perfect look for the day. I can’t wait to see and document more of her awesome work.
I recently jumped at the opportunity to shoot backstage at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show for HOLA! Magazine. For those of you who aren’t familiar with HOLA!, it’s basically Spain’s People Magazine. Shooting backstage at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show wasn’t as risqué as one might imagine – the collection and the models are under wraps until the actual fashion show. Nonetheless, I have to say, those women are the most physically perfect human beings I have ever encountered. Real-life Barbie dolls. And clearly photogenic. Check out the photos and the write-up (if you read Spanish!) here.
I’d been looking forward to shooting Nesli and Brian for a while but I was incredibly excited when Nesli emailed me and asked if we could maybe do their e-session on and near the Manhattan Bridge. The Manhattan Bridge was particularly meaningful to them since, when they first started dating, they took the Q train which passes over the bridge between their apartments. And beyond the personal significance, she was looking for something interesting and different. Yay, interesting and different! I absolutely love interesting and different. I feel so lucky to have such amazing clients.
